Walking into an unfamiliar church takes a bit of courage. This page removes as much of the guesswork as we can, so the only thing left is turning up.

Nothing here is a test. If your question is not covered, phone us — we would far rather answer it than have you worry about it.

What to expect
Someone will meet you at the door and show you where to go. Sabbath School comes first — Bible study in small groups — followed by the Divine Service with singing, prayer and a message. Nobody will single you out or ask you to stand up.

What to wear
Whatever you are comfortable in. Some people dress up because it is how they mark the Sabbath; plenty of others arrive in jeans. Both are entirely normal here.

Children's arrangements
Children have their own age-grouped Sabbath School running alongside the adult programme, led by DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained volunteers. You are equally welcome to keep your children with you throughout.

How long it lasts
Allow around two and a half hours for both services, though people come and go as they need to. On many Sabbaths there is a fellowship lunch afterwards — you are very welcome to stay.

Giving
An offering is collected during the service. Visitors are never expected to give anything at all; please treat it as something you can simply pass on.

Afterwards
Tea, coffee and conversation. If you would rather slip away quietly, that is completely fine too — there is no sign-up sheet and nobody will chase you.
Children & families
Bringing children? Here is exactly what happens.
You do not need to arrange anything in advance. Arrive, tell the welcome team the ages of your children, and they will walk you to the right room and introduce you to the leader.

- Classes are grouped roughly by school stage, from the very youngest through to teenagers.
- Safeguarding
- All volunteers working with children are DBS-checked and complete the church’s safeguarding training.
- Staying together
- Prefer to keep your children with you? Absolutely fine — nobody will mind the noise.
- Pathfinders
- Our club for school-age children and teens: skills, adventure, service and friendship.
- Baby changing
- Baby-changing facilities are available in the accessible toilet at the community centre.

Exact start times for a given Sabbath are always confirmed in the weekly programme, which is published for every week of the quarter.
- Saturday morning
- Sabbath SchoolBible study in small groups for adults, youth and children. A gentle, discussion-led start to the day.
- Saturday, following Sabbath School
- Divine ServiceOur main worship service — singing, prayer, and a Bible-centred message. Everyone is welcome.
- Saturday, alongside the services
- Children & PathfindersAge-appropriate classes and activities so children are cared for while families worship.
- Midweek and Friday evening
- Prayer meeting & VespersQuieter gatherings for prayer, encouragement and welcoming the Sabbath together.

- Free parking on site. If the car park is full there is unrestricted street parking nearby on Smorrall Lane.

- Several Nuneaton–Bedworth services stop on Smorrall Lane, a short walk from the centre.

Look out for
- Bedworth Heath Community Centre is on Smorrall Lane, set back from the road behind its own car park.
- On a Sabbath morning you will usually see people arriving from around half an hour before Sabbath School.
- If the main door looks closed, it is not — push on. Someone will be just inside.
Running late?
It genuinely does not matter. People arrive throughout the morning and nobody turns round to look. Slip in wherever there is space.
